Things were uneventful this week. I’m trying to get back in the swing of things, but I think my mind is still stuck in the proverbial rut.

Mutant Chronicles

On the writing front I was able to go through my notes and get the process sorted out. I started getting a few of the new changes added to the script, but I didn’t realize how extensively the additions were going to change what I had. With the exception of some dialog, I have to gut a lot of what I had written and rewrite it all. I plan on finishing that work in the next day or two and then I’ll begin forward progress with new material. Finally!

Other Happenings

In other happenings I moved my office again.

Back to the original location.

My previous office was larger but it felt very cave like. I had plenty of room to put my weight bench and dumbbell rack, but it never really felt right. That could be why I never wrote in there. The room just wasn’t comfortable. This smaller office is much more cozy as my wife put it. I did the bulk of my writing in this room and it already feels better. That transition took two whole days.

I stripped out all the superfluous elements (furniture, Knick knacks, etc.) that I didn’t need and I’m going to keep the office fairly minimal. I’ll need to get a new desk lamp since I didn’t bring over my wall cabinets with the integrated lighting. There are soem retro game posters I might frame and hang it up. I’ve been intending to frame those for almost a year. One of these days I’ll get that done.

Now that the holiday, office move, and other out of the ordinary events are completed, I think it will be easier to get back into the swing of things. I’m going to try and ratchet up my work out to five days a week and spend the rest of each day writing. That’s the goal anyway.

I suppose that’s all for now. I fully expect there to be more to report as progress begins to speed up.

I’ll see you next week.
