There isn’t much to say about this week. Following the events of last week, everything was kind of dull.

Family Fren Time

My wife took a week off from work as she has a lot of use or loose days (She’s a workaholic and probably doesn’t like me much anyway). So, I took the week off with her and didn’t do much. The break was nice and refreshing. The family spent a lot of time hanging out at home. We watched a few movies together including the Matrix Trilogy, Prometheus, and Alien: Covenant. My son hadn’t seen any of those except the original Matrix film. Prometheus and Covenant are just smooth brain drivel masquerading as pretentious, fart sniffing, existential explorations. Utter bullshite.

I did notice the Matrix trilogy explains why a lot of people feel the way they do today. I can see the seeds of today’s rebelliousness sowed in the narrative of that film. Very subtle, but I can see why we are here today. Whatever social “disease” is happening has been brewing for a long time. The film is a nihilistic, totally bass ackwards way of exploring destiny and free will. If people actually believe what that movie tells them about the essential nature of “choice” in a place where God, or a concept they may believe to be “god,” exists, it’s no wonder they are having such existential crises today. People are lost. I feel for them.

I’ve also discovered through all five of these movies that Gnosticism is stupid and selfish like any religion where man is or becomes “god.”

Mutant Chronicles

The one piece of work I did on the script this week was to give the opening of Mutant Chronicles a bit more mystery, setting up the crux of our main character’s journey. I plan to get back to work and get this script cranked out. The one bad thing about my week long vacation was that I had to think about:

  1. writing a two hour tv pilot screenplay
  2. writing a bible with an explanation of in-depth mythology for a unknown franchise
  3. laying out a visual pitch bible for unknown franchise
  4. creating a couple “special features” I have in mind for old school “MC” fans
  5. Awaken still hasn’t come back to me yet.

There is a lot of work ahead of me, so, needless to say, I need to get to it.

One more thing…

Hey Mom, if you have any ideas about how to engage more people via social media (namely Instagram and Twitter) as a writer, I would love for you to drop me a line.

I’ll see you all next week, hopefully with some damn progress!
